Chia Pudding

Happy summers every one, heat wave is so strong in Karachi and all I can think about is rain. Good thing about the summers that I can eat so many mangoes .Oh yes, because summers and mangoes are so much associated together. BTW I went to Sunday bazaar for vegetables and fruits this week and the price of every single good was up, sad but true.

I picked up fresh mangoes, price starting from the 60/kg PKR which is a good enough reason to buy I think.

I am also obsessed with chia pudding lately, chia seeds are loaded with anti oxidant and they are high in omega-3 fatty acids .They also contain calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and protein. All of these nutrients are essential for bone health. So here is my simple, healthy and go to chia pudding recipe, I am topping it up with mango chunks and date you can add any of your favorite fruit or granola. This is a great way to start your day or post yoga /workout treat.

What will you need?

·         1 cup full cream milk
·         1/4th cup chia seeds
·         1 tablespoon Honey

 Instructions:

Combine chia seeds, milk and honey together in a Mason jar or bowl. Refrigerate it over night and the next morning you will find a thick chia seed pudding, top up with your favorite fruit and enjoy.

Do you Love the idea?

My idea of cooking is fun, healthy and easy. I love experimenting and adding vegetables in my breakfast, I really enjoy healthy eating in fact!

Spinach itself can be very interesting you can add raw spinach into salad and pasta. So the next time your mom is going to make spinach, try to save some baby spinach for your breakfast.

Everyone loves omelette in breakfast so let’s add some twist and extra flavor .I love this cheese omelette lately here is my take on that, be sure to wash vegetables thoroughly before cooking I am making it for myself so it’s a single serving. You can add mushrooms and chicken. Apparently It seems that I love eating and I eat too much but it is total legit and you can judge me my friends, hope everyone liked it.
