Happy summers every one, heat wave is so strong in
Karachi and all I can think about is rain. Good thing about the summers that I
can eat so many mangoes .Oh yes, because summers and mangoes are so much
associated together. BTW I went to Sunday bazaar for vegetables and fruits this
week and the price of every single good was up, sad but true.
I picked up fresh mangoes, price starting from the
60/kg PKR which is a good enough reason to buy I think.
I am also obsessed with chia pudding lately, chia seeds
are loaded with anti oxidant and they are high in omega-3 fatty acids .They
also contain calcium,
magnesium, phosphorus and protein. All of these nutrients are essential for
bone health. So here is my simple, healthy and go to chia pudding recipe, I am
topping it up with mango chunks and date you can add any of your favorite fruit
or granola. This is a great way to start your day or post yoga /workout treat.
What
will you need?
·
1 cup full cream milk
·
1/4th cup chia seeds
·
1 tablespoon Honey
Combine chia seeds, milk and honey together in a
Mason jar or bowl. Refrigerate it over night and the next morning you will find
a thick chia seed pudding, top up with your favorite fruit and enjoy.
Do you Love the idea?
XO Sehar
Perfect for the summer and also could cheer anyone up in that crazy heat! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteOh you know babe, coming form you means REALLY a lot xx
DeleteI love the idea, Sehar. A cool, refreshing and healthy treat that is also colourful to look at! One of the things you mentioned is Chia seeds have omega-3 fatty acids which a lot of people think can be found in fish only. So, it is good for you to to introduce Chia seeds as another source. The only issue for us would be our milk doesn't have a high enough fat content to set overnight and become pudding like in texture. So, either we make this pudding with a mixture of cream/yogurt added to the milk. I liked the toppings of mangoes and dates. Delicious. I will make this. Well done.
